Frankford Avenue Street Improvements Open House

The Mayfair Business Improvement District (BID) launched the Frankford Avenue Street Improvements to transform travel on Frankford Avenue, for safety enhancements, streetscape improvements, additional parking and loading areas, and expansion of the “Triangle” at Frankford Avenue.  We are thrilled that the City of Philadelphia is advancing some of the recommendations that came out of various planning studies, including the North Delaware District Plan.

Two Phase Study Starts with Safety Improvements

The Philadelphia City Planning Commission (PCPC) is working with the Philadelphia Streets Department (Streets), the Philadelphia Office of Transportation, Infrastructure, and Sustainability (OTIS), and the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC), on a two-phase transportation study to address concerns along the Frankford Avenue corridor between Cheltenham Avenue and Rhawn Street.  The first phase will address safety improvements that are coming soon to the intersection of Cottman and Frankford Avenues.
