Paint Day with Mural Arts Program for the Mayfair Mile

Paint a Piece of the Mayfair Mural

On Saturday, March 23 from 12-2pm, neighbors are invited to come paint a piece of the newest Mayfair mural going up at the intersection of Frankford and Cottman Avenue, no artistic talented needed and all ages are welcome to help.

Mural Arts Program Design

Last year on April 14, 2018 Arts festival, we announced our “Mayfair Mile” Mural Project with Councilman Bobby Henon and the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program. We are pleased to inform you that we are working with the gifted and talented artist, David Guinn, to design the first mural to be painted at the iconic intersection of Frankford and Cottman Avenues (on the wall next to Hertz). Attached hereto please find the wonderful design approved by the selection committee, which highlights the traditions of Mayfair, with the explosion of color and activity for the future.

The Design of the Mural Reflects the Culture of Mayfair

The design features a colorful rendering of Mayfair homes with mature trees and children playing in the front yard. The mural is located directly in front of a large oak tree that appears to be growing right from the art itself.

Join us on Saturday, March 23rd and Make It Mayfair!
